A downloadable game for Windows

A greedy hunter has a big secret. What happens when he bags the wrong animal one day? Explore his luxurious mansion and uncover that secret.

This was a quick project I did around last year for a Game Projects class, in which we had to create a walkable environment that told a mini story. Imagine this level as one out of many--this experience should only last around 10-15 minutes.

[I updated the game to have subtitles for when you are near a newspaper headline and to fix the abrupt ending, so check out .v2 if you haven't already!]

Move around your viewpoint with the mouse, and press E to open closed doors. ESC closes the game.

Interesting little game, enjoyed it!

Game is great atm for a student project and I like how you put the story of the game in news paper clippings. Nice job. I'd suggest that you put in prompts for doors that can be opened via the 'e' key though.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. http://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

Just checked out the video--thanks for playing and sharing it here! I'm glad you found it interesting... appreciate the feedback as well, I will mark it down as I continue work on the project. Very helpful. Subbed!

For a student project it's a solid start. The biggest issue is a lack of ending (not sure if the project was designed to flow into another student's work) and with the 1999 build it's impossible to understand the story as the newpapers are unreadable.

Thanks man! The project was meant to be one level out of many... going into the doorway would put you in the next sector of the mansion, and so on. I watched your video and I appreciate the feedback (especially about the pixelated version being unreadable). I may update that version with clearer textures on the newspapers or lay off the pixelate effect. Cheers!

good prototype

Appreciate it! Thanks for playing + sharing the vid.

Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

I was quite excited when I entered the game as the graphics look relatively good and interesting where there are many animal head statues around and pictures of a couple everywhere in the house. If there was a storyline in the game, it would be more engaging and interesting for the player. I am kinda confused as to what the game is actually about because all I did was to run around the house and then inevitably head upstairs to see an amazing statue of what I believe was a Sabertooth. However, the game just ended there, which made me feel really confused as to what I was missing out at the end of the game. Lastly, I was kinda upset that there were lots of guns on the floor but I couldn't pick any of them up :(.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Thanks for the great feedback + critiques and for uploading your video, I appreciate it! There are headlines that tell a semblance of some loose story threads (a hunter who hunts dangerous game, haha) but I've come to realize that the PS1 shader blurs out the textures pretty bad which is probably why you couldn't see them. This prototype is supposed to be one level out of many, so when you enter the ending doorway it would take you to the next area of the mansion, and so on. However, I only worked on this for a class project in around 2 months so I didn't get very far with other levels LOL.
